world of plants
Handy Andy's Nursery has long expressed a desire to educate you regarding the care of your outdoor landscape as well as how to take on fun and enjoyable gardening topics of a winter and indoor nature. We are now branching out and interested in providing home-school families with some supplemental educational opportunities for learning about Science. Particularly plant based sciences.
We are beginning this by offering two sessions of Unit One in what may eventually become a Five Unit curriculum geared towards learning about plants.
Unit One is comprised of three lessons completed in one week.
Lessons begin at 9am on the dates provided.
Week One: Beginning Jan 29th
4th, 5th, & 6th Grade
Week Two: Beginning Feb 5th
7th, 8th, & 9th Grade
The content of the Unit will be adjusted based upon these set grade levels. We have provided a "suggested" grade (age) for each session but we will leave it up to you as the parent to decide whether your child can handle the appropriate depth of the material.
Your child will receive a module for each lesson. Please provide a folder or binder for these modules.
A typical lesson will include;
